Drawer Dividers

One of the best changes I made to my kitchen recently was adding permanent wood dividers for silverware and large utensils. Gone are the plastic or metal inserts from Target that slid all of the place and didn’t fit properly. Why did I wait so long to add these? There are many ways to divide your drawers that make your life more organized.

  1. Silverware dividers-perfect if you have one or more sets of silverware. It gives everything a space and keeps it all neat in the drawer.

  2. Large utensil dividers-I feel like this is the worst drawer in the kitchen! All of those items are different sizes and so bulky and cumbersome to store. Evaluate the items you have, purge what you don’t use and then divider your drawer or drawers appropriately to best store those items in an organized way.

  3. Knives-most clients are trying to keep things off of their counters and out of site. Get rid of the knife block on the counter and put a knife block in a drawer to keep all of your knives easily accessible, safe and sharp.

  4. The junk drawer-Instead of the mass of miscellaneous items, divide up this drawer into different compartments to help you better sort that random mix of batteries, pens, keys, paper and other random items.

  5. Dividers are also great in a desk drawer to help wrangle and organize all of those office supplies.

  6. Vanity storage-dividers are also a great way to organize all of the little things in a bathroom.

Think outside of the box and discover ways to better organize your drawers and your life. Do you have a great storage solution for drawers? Have any questions? Email me at jessica@webbercoleman.com
