Spring Clean Your Kitchen
These warmer days make me itch to do some spring cleaning. To throw open the doors, let the fresh air and sunshine in and get a clean start to the spring and summer. I want to clean out my kitchen and get it ready for all of that great spring and summer produce and entertaining. Here are a few tips and areas to concentrate on when you are spring cleaning your kitchen.
The refrigerator-take everything out, wipe down the shelves, dust off the top, evaluate everything that you are putting back in. Is it still good? When in doubt, throw it out.
The freezer-empty it, clean out the ice bin, throw away any mystery item or item that has been in there too long.
Cabinets-wipe down the outside of your cabinets with a damp rag that has been doused in warm soapy water. Do not let water stand on the cabinets. Simple dish soap in your water will help remove any grease or food particles on your cabinets.
Clean out the oven-scrub down the racks, clean the glass window and wipe out the interior
Sink-scrub it well with Bar Keeper’s Friend. This product is great for many applications, but is especially helpful in getting your stainless sink to shine.
Windows-clean any windows in your kitchen inside and out. Make them sparkle.
